Our member committees assist in event planning and help innovate new ideas for member/business relationships. Serving on a committee is also an excellent way to provide professional development opportunities to your employees.

Ambassadors Committee

Be the face of the Chamber! The Ambassador Committee assist in various activities such as Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremonies, Business After Hours,
Membership contact and retention, Operation Thank You and innumerable other activities.

Small Business Council

The Small Business Council is a group of volunteer business owners, managers and leaders who operate new and established businesses in Onslow County. The
committee serves as an open forum to provide resources and partnerships with the Small Business Center by providing seminars of various business topics and industry specified guest speakers to assist with challenges faced in the business community.

Workforce Advisory Committee

The Workforce Advisory Committee is an integral player in business/education partnerships. Partnered with the Chamber, Onslow County Schools, and Coastal Community College; they make it their duty to succeed in workforce development.  Each year, the WAC members and Onslow County Schools  present college or career scholarships to top students.

Business Diversity Council

The Business Diversity Council consists of a volunteer group of diverse business owners working together to spearhead the diversity business initiative. The Small Business Minority Enterprise Development Week is the council’s annual signature event. The major components of the outreach efforts to help resolve issues that impact the diverse business community.

Governmental Affairs Committee

The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee, working on behalf of business in Jacksonville/Onslow County in the legislative arena, ensures that your voice will be heard on issues of importance on a local, state and national level. This committee presents important issues to the public through Forum Onslow. Membership to this committee is by appointment only and requires a special application.

Military Affairs Committee

Help foster exemplary military/civilian relationships! The Military Affairs Committee sees the value of a united business and military community in Jacksonville/Onslow County. Membership to this committee is by appointment only and requires a special application.
